Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great popularity with her stories she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift was a fan of music from a young stage and progressed swiftly through roles in the children's theater until her first performance before a crowd of thousands. In 2011, Swift, aged 11 at the time, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Following that, she started writing her own music. Swift composed original music that was inspired by country musicians such as Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks), and Dixie Chicks. Her material was a reflection of Swift's experiences as a tween alienation. Swift left Pennsylvania together with her parents, and moved to Tennessee, Hendersonville. she turned 13 to devote her time in contacting label representatives from the country genre.
